“The Wisdom of Wolves”

by: Twyman Towery

wolvesGod created man to observe and pursue His ways. Not only has God provided man with His ways in writing, via the Bible, but for those with more of a child-like heart and curiosity God has planted His ways in nature in both the plant and animal kingdoms for us to discover and apply.

Too often in business settings, says the author, executives and employees work harder to one up each other, lie to one other and generally stab each other in the back. Looking into a wolf pack reveals a different image, picture and world than one typically hears about or imagines. Towery asks the question, “What could human organizations accomplish if they live by the principles that wolves live by?”

A great answer to this question is to look at Solomon in the Bible who has long been regarded as the world’s wisest and wealthiest man. Solomon studied, as a naturalist, both the plant and animal kingdoms to uncover the wisdom planted in both by God for practical use in his day to day leading and managing the nation of Israel. He discovered, as God hopes man in general will, that there is profound intelligence and knowledge (biomimicry) in our universe other than that of humans.

Towery states, “There are many reasons why people today are rediscovering the wonder ancient peoples felt toward wolves when they painted them on their stone walls so long ago just as there are many reasons why the wolf was chosen as the symbol of so many native American tribes.”

Today, the human social order seems to be falling apart, while the wolf family remains intact. Why is that? The wolf pack knows who they are – they exist for each other. Too often man believes that he is superior to larger needs to co-exist in unity with nature. Whether out of envy, fear, or ignorance, man has set out to destroy nature.

Towery’s use of quotes, stories and anecdotes represent certain basic truths of wolves that when practiced can help man travel the elusive, but timeless road to success and happiness: teamwork, patience, unity, through uniqueness, curiosity, attitude (what is the best for the pack) , failure, communication, perseverance, strategy, play, loyalty, change, death and survival (succession).

Do you want more … immeasurably more? More of “what”? More of “it”? What is “more”?

If we can agree for the sake of this topic, “more” is a comparative word defined as, “something greater than” or “an additional amount of something”, before you answer the foregoing questions, please take a moment to consider what does “more” mean to you, and when you get with God, what are you really saying … what then are you comparing more to? A few reality check points to consider:

  • More compared to something negative tends to have a negative or cancellation type effect.
  • More compared to nothing is still nothing
  • More compared to something positive is multiplied.

What do you already have that you want more of? What does more look like to you? Important Note: Money is debt. Please do yourself a favor and stop asking for money, because God does not want you going into any more debt than you already are. In fact, just the opposite. Something to ponder … but more on this topic another time … I digress.

Nevertheless, to people of the world who want to analyze success with the world’s metrics, a simple reflection of “more of something” might look like this.

Life, however, is not a golden escalator to heaven, but rather a stairway to use an elevational example. The real path to success and significance really looks like this:

More therefore, isn’t as much a linear function, as it is a repetitious process of learning, breakthrough, and plateau. Despite the fact most of us all want a straight line to the end, to be faster, more efficient, to want it now, to see the end from the beginning, etc., God didn’t design growth to be immediate any more than He does anything else in a straight line. For anyone that has ever sailed a boat, you know this all too well. And yet we find ourselves praying God would make our crooked path straight. In reality, most of us are whiners.

The big question is, are we moving, and in what direction … up, sideways, or down? Depending on where we are requires a different strategy for each. Unfortunately, what most of us may not comprehend yet, is the pace at which we are traveling is yet another dimension that ultimately determines one’s progress, if at all (e.g. a boat pointed in one direction with the illusion of progress may in fact be going backwards against a stronger tide). Therefore, it’s not enough to collect information and call it education. Learning, doing, and receiving “more” happens with a personal application.

Call to action to those capable of bringing in the harvest!

In summary, more is a growth and maturation function of many dimensions. If we want to grow, we have to learn the lessons. The rate at which we learn is up to us. The best way is not the convention of academia, but rather through a interpersonal, communitive, and relational experience … learn one, do one, train one. More never ends. After all, how does God give abundantly more, or do immeasurably more, than He’s already doing? Actually, that’s a trick question. The better question is, why then do we not shift our focus from the lack of something and instead give our ALL that we already have as He already is and does in order to be generously over flowing on all occasions with abundantly more? If we want more of anything from God in our lives, to do anything more with God in our lives, there’s work involved as we covered in the last newsletter … “forward” and “upward” are the keys to abundantly more. If you have the ability to respond, it’s time to step up. Onward and upward we go!

Tele-medicine New Frontier

by: Thomas Richter

Going back to 2002, tele-medicine started gaining ground in the healthcare market. They utilized a network of U.S. board-certified doctors to resolve many medical issues, 24/7/365, via phone or online video consults from wherever you happened to be. Now in 2015, this seems to be a growing, successful trend.

National networks are U.S. board-certified Family Practitioners, PCPs, Pediatricians and internists who use electronic health records to diagnose, treat, and write prescriptions when necessary. Governance should meet the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) standards.

Patient may find their medical issue(s) resolved without a trip to the doctor’s office. Unlike nurse-run call centers, tele-medicine can often diagnose, recommend treatment, and prescribe medication, when necessary.

Tele-medicine can happen from wherever you are at home, work, or on vacation. Compare that with taking a day off from work to sit in a waiting room. Tele-medicine costs far less than urgent care or ER visits for non-emergency medical care. It also qualifies as an expense for HSA, FSA and HRA accounts.

Below are some of the most frequently asked questions.

How much does it cost?

Do I talk to “real” doctors?

What are some common conditions of treatment?

Can tele-medicine handle emergency situation?

Can my family use it?

Can I get a prescription?

How are prescriptions sent to the pharmacy?

All these question and more have answers that we can assist you with as our relationship is with largest service provider in the country. As always, you have a choice to stay where you are or embrace the changing market.

In the words of philosopher Eric Hoffer, “In times of change learners inherit the earth,

while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer

New Jewish Year With Signs

by: Ryan Eldridge

As we began the Jewish New Year, there seems to be a lot of excitement as well as fear about
what the coming year holds. Your stance all but depends on your interpretation on what you see
as current reality, but especially to the life which is to come.

Considering the times that we are living in and moving into, a major event such as a historic
natural disaster, an unprecedented terrorist attack, or the outbreak of war could potentially be
enough to change the status of the world’s economy.

The reality is, trillions of dollars are at play in stock markets all over the planet. There will be
days when the stock markets plummet and there will be more days when they soar. There will
always be giant waves of momentum that cause panic selling and panic buying.

During times of economic uncertainty, people are paralyzed because they don’t know what to
do. The big ups and downs in the markets confuse people, and with a sleight of hand the media
typically states that everything is fine.

The real story behind the cause of what is happening and the effect is much stranger than
fiction, especially when you consider the refugee crisis. And let’s not forget how this all started
or what it will bring to fruition.
A lot of attention is being put on Syria and Iran right now, although Iraq is still part of the
equation; however, they are not the main players. The Iran nuclear deal has only increased our
awareness and the market’s sensitivity. Most world leaders say the Iran deal is “historic” and
support it because they are convinced that it will put the world on the path to “peace and safety”.
We must be mindful when people are saying “peace and safety” but doing things that provoke
wars and rumors of wars. The chain of current events, notwithstanding the past, are front and

● China launches a sell off of it’s currency.
● Four chemical plants in China have been destroyed.
● Chinese naval ships entered U.S. territorial waters off of Alaska.
● Russia is leading the BRICS toward the purchase of Iranian oil for gold.
● The BRICS bank is increasing its global presence, with Russia and China leading the
● Russia completed a deal bringing China into the Russian energy sphere of influence.
● Russia is on the verge of controlling a good portion of Europe’s energy needs and being
able to bypass the Petrodollar as a means of payment for Russian energy into Europe.
● Russian troops are completing their preparations to arrive in Syria.

Although life in the years ahead will look dramatically different from what it looks like now, we
can live in a constant state of peace. Therefore, if you’ve been waiting for “warning signals” to
get your house in order, then you can stop waiting because it is happening right in front of your

But now is not a time for fear. The treasures of wisdom are hid, not from us, but for us, in Christ.
Seek first the Kingdom of God and He will show you which path to take.

summoned to leadSummoned to Lead by Leonard Sweet

Summoned to Lead is not like most leadership books and yet Leonard Sweet, if one has read any of his writings, is not like most authors either. However, being different is why Summoned to Lead, I believe, is very worthy of one’s time and energy.

Sweet uses “Sir Ernest Shackleton, the Antarctic explorer, as a case study in an understanding of leadership as an acoustical art enabling readers to explore, not what or who great leaders are, but what great leaders actually do. Unfortunately, state-of-the-art leadership is better styled state-of-the-artless leadership, says Sweet.

The ability to find one’s voice and to hear and call other voices into harmonious sound is the essence of a Shackleton-inspired definition of leadership as the acoustical art of imagining the future.

Sweet believes that for the music of the soul to be restored to us and our organizations, leadership needs to be seen as less a performance art (visionary, manager) than a participation art (conductor, choreographer, impresario).

Shackleton became a great leader the same way John Kennedy became a war hero: his boat sank. And that was one of his expedition’s kinder episodes.

Shackleton and his crew of 28 men were stranded in Antarctic conditions, not for seconds or minutes, but for years. From 1914 to 1917 Shackleton led his men to safety through the harshest climate and severest conditions imaginable. In spite of a true “nuclear winter,” Shackleton “never lost a man.” This story is known as “the greatest survival story in history.”

It is against this story that Sweet draws out for the reader important and practical leadership actions. Shackleton combined the prophetic and priestly functions of leadership. He reached out to where his crew was (priest) and reached out to where his crew was not but needed to go (prophetic). Reaching people where they are is how leaders form relationships. But reaching people where they are not is how leaders form hope for “what you can be” and help construct an imaginary future toward which people can direct their steps.

Master Mind Group

Master’s Mind – new season beginning October 5

A new season of the KCT Master’s Mind group will begin again on October 5 hosted by Guenther Hess and assisted by Larry Tyler. The dates for sessions for this season are:

· Mondays, October 5, 12, 19, and 26 at 4 PM EST

·Mondays, November 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30 at 4 PM EST

·Mondays, December 7 and 14 at 4 PM EST

Important Note: Current standing with the KCT Community Supplement (SECom), including but not limited to a complete member profile and active rewards sub-trust account are required for participation. Please get with Thomas Richter of the KCT Help Desk with any questions or assistance in completing the forgoing.

The theme for this new season will center around hearing the Holy Spirit speak and answering the question, “What has the Lord said about…. ” (whatever important issue is before you) It’s about going to the Lord rather than to Egypt for answers and solutions.

We will use most of the time during each session (maximum session time of 75 minutes) to go deep into subjects given as homework for members to go before the Lord in prayer, meditation and two-way journaling to hear what the Lord has to say to each one personally about the subject matter and then have interactive conversations regarding those subjects. Basis for this is approach to meetings is Isa. 43:19 – where God says He is doing a new thing, do we perceive it? We won’t perceive it and know what to do if we are not spending quality time before Him, waiting and listening.

The subject for the October 5 meeting is: given that water is the most valuable resource on the planet for all of life, and KCT has at it’s disposal qualified professionals who have experience in cleaning water – what strategies and deliverables do you feel KCT, as well as yourself personally, should be pursuing, using and making available to connect with and reach those who share a common vision for cleaning water, reaching out to those with resources to help fulfill the vision and help those who desperately need clean water to live well? Please see information in the Box relating to Living Water and Water and Soil Remediation for background material if needed.

For the October 12 meeting we would ask that a Master’s Mind member volunteer to place themselves in the “hot seat” and present their project and or need to the group by sending an email to the members on or before October 6 regarding what it is they would like the group to go to the Lord about and seek strategies, wisdom and guidance to be discussed at the October 12 meeting.

In addition, for about 10 to 15 minutes at the beginning of each meeting there will be a short teaching. By popular demand, Guenther will be presenting deliverance instruction and every other week Larry will be discussing Kingdom economic principles.

Please begin now to pray for these meeting and the members involved as we expect miracles to FLOW (Following God’s Laws of Wealth) from the quit times with the Lord and with one another during the meetings.

Are You Moving Forward?

By: Dale Hewett Collier

FORWARDIf you’re like everyone of influence I know, you are busy in some form or fashion with your “it”. In fact, we’re so considerate when we pick up the phone to call another to get what we want, it’s often one of the first few phrases we speak. Unfortunately, most of us don’t really care if the other person is really busy or not.

But I do care … enough to ask a better question to the point of making you uncomfortable, enough for you to reconsider your ways. Are you actually moving forward with your “it”? What I really want to know instead is:

  1. Are you headed in the correct direction?
  2. Are you considering other alternatives to the left or the right?
  3. Are you getting anywhere with where you are going?
  4. Are you spinning your wheels?
  5. Are you actually going backward?
  6. Is your GPS guidance system even functioning?
  7. Are you operating from rest?

We must comprehend, contrary to many recent definitions of man, the Word defines work very differently (i.e. work is not mere employment, nor is it a job, but something far greater such that work is a blessing in fact). What force over what distance of displacement can you define as work, that is to say, assuming your work is actually worthwhile? What is the work you are actually doing, and why? Servants work for wages for example. Sons do not. Who are you in the Kingdom, and what evidence do you have to show for it?

What does it mean to you, if the man that does not work, does not eat? Wouldn’t it makes sense to know the proper definition of work such that none should lack food and water in this world? Or, does anyone really care?

If the wisdom of Proverbs suggests hard work leads to prosperity, the inverse of the evidence would suggest most are hardly working at all. Look around. It’s no wonder why most exert so much effort and yet have so little to show for it. We have lost sight of what real work is, substituting it for a debilitating derivative. Lost sight means blindness. In other words, our busy+ness doesn’t reveal any more than who we are about our business, any more than most who supposedly work for money never really seem to get out of debt. In part, that’s because we tend to judge ourselves by activity rather than results.

For example, did you know that in the average 8-hour workday, it’s been studied and revealed that more than 70% of the American work force actually works less than 3 hours per day on the job? In fact, a recent study conducted by the University of London found that constant emailing and text-messaging reduces mental capability by an average of ten points on an IQ test (five points for women, and fifteen points for men). Now if the average employee checks their email 77 times per day and this is considered to be a constant average, there you have it … emailing and texting makes you stupid!

Never before in history has it been so easy to distract someone. I can only wonder what the next decade will bring in the evolution of social science and behavioral economics.

Nevertheless, it’s time to stop kidding yourself with activity somehow correlating with prosperity. Ask yourself if you took any ground today. If not, why not? Need help with that? You’re in the right place, as there is but one path that will get you to your ultimate destination. Forward and upward is the direction. Your part is the work. Or, as I have often written to you on more than one occasion … onward and upward we go!

Health Care Sharing Ministries Tax Parity

by: Thomas Richter

Last month’s topic introduced an alternative to traditional health insurance and why followers of Jesus feel compelled to participate in statutory compulsory health insurance. Seriously, why participate in statutory compulsory health insurance?

Your answer to the question above might reveal surprising answers regarding what spirit governs this economic trading floor. Health Care Sharing is not insurance, rather it is the demonstration of Kingdom assurance, volunteer love in action, believing it is better to give than to receive. (Act 20:35) Choosing, then, to be involved in health care sharing ministries should be a matter of prayerful consideration; do take it before the Lord and get Holy Spirits direction. (Hosea 4:6)

Participation in (HCSM) goes beyond the financial component. Beyond addressing the financial needs, they are designed to help meet spiritual and emotional needs, which is central to maintain a sense of community that does exists among members. Members do assist with large medical expenses similar to traditional health insurance and due to their positive contribution to our health care system; moneys spent and received for assistance by members of health care sharing ministries should receive at least the same advantages under the income tax code as do health insurance premiums and reimbursements.

A health care sharing ministry (HCSM) is a health care cost sharing arrangement among persons of similar and sincerely held beliefs, administered by a not-for-profit religious organization.  Those sharing through HCSMs are called members, and money sent by members to other members to help pay for their medical expenses is called a share, not an obligation.  The sharing is accomplished through members’ monthly gifts directed to families in financial distress and not to an insurance reserve fund.

To date, HCSMs represent over 100,000 members in all fifty states.  HCSMs share over 60 million dollars per year for health care costs. Formed in 1981, they played a vital role in assisting tens of thousands of individuals emotionally, spiritually, and financially during medical crises and the accompanying expenses.

According to the federal Internal Revenue Code, employers purchasing health insurance for their employees may deduct the cost as a business expense, while at the same time it is a nontaxable fringe benefit to the employee.  The self-employed and employees who purchase their own health insurance may, in most circumstances, also deduct that cost on their income tax returns.  Also, health insurance reimbursements for medical expenses are not considered taxable income.

Missouri became the first state to amend its income tax code in 2007, to allow a full personal deduction of HCSM expenses. This legislation is designed so that HCSMs are given at least equal treatment with health insurance. This includes personal and business deductibility for HCSM payments; tax-free fringe benefit for employer provided HCSM memberships; and non-taxability of gifts received from HCSM members to assist with medical expenses.

Like health insurance policy holders, members of HCSMs make payments that go toward assisting fellow members with medical expenses.  However, due to the fact that HCSMs are not insurance companies and are not well known, the federal and state tax codes do not explicitly address their status.

The deductibility of HCSM payments is unclear, and the non-taxability of the gifts received from HCSM members to help those with large expenses is not as clear as it should be.

What is “IT” That YOU Are Carrying That Does NOT Belong to YOU?

by: Dale Hewett Collier

Have you figured out your “IT” yet? Here’s a clue … No peace or joy, weary, burdened … frustrated in general. Chances are that’s not “IT”. Church as we know it is preventing Church as God wants “IT”. History is repeating itself. What’s the solution? Lay it down and Give yourself up. Stop carrying what is not yours.

Unfortunately, more than 90% of American churches are doing it … and most congregations are deceived or clueless as to what it really is. And yet, if you’re regularly supporting it, what else do you expect from it … something supernatural? It’s no wonder why we’re left deficient, still wanting more.

Last time I checked, Jesus said He will build His Church and the gates of hell would not prevail against IT. The Church of Jesus, the Christ is supposed to be His Bride … not a State-licensed organization to do business as a whore! Now, if this message offends you, perhaps you may be afflicted by the spirits of the religion or government mountains. Nevertheless, I exhort you to get your facts straight and stoburden_lightp carrying around what you think is “IT”. The Christians described in the Bible met in each other’s homes (Philemon 1:2).

Seriously … where did you learn what you have learned? Who told you to do what you’re doing and carry what you’ve been carrying? May I suggest stop doing what you’ve always been doing, expecting a different result, and do what Jesus said told us to do, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” – Matthew 11:28-30

Compare the following few statements to that of the early church described in the Book of Acts. Ask yourself, and respond honestly, if what you’re a part of today looks anything like it, or perhaps that of something else:

  • Your church is a building;
  • Your church has an altar; it may even have a band;
  • Your church is someplace you go to rather than something you do;
  • Your church feels more like a series of religious meetings than a way of life;
  • Your church is a house of God rather than your home;
  • Your church is comprised of many ministries; including many gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John;
  • Your church has become too big to be effective;
  • Your church is led by a pastor yet may lack the offices of the five-fold Jesus put into office;
  • Your church name includes that of a man (first name + last name ministries) rather than that of Jesus;
  • Your church claims to contain all the right pieces except you find yourself not really fitting in;
  • Your church clergy is as bureaucratic as other non-religious charitable organizations;
  • Your church is organized as opposed to organic as the Body of Christ lives;
  • Your church worships worship rather than worship God;
  • Your church encourages you to bring people to it versus bringing the church to others;
  • Your church celebrates the idea of the “Lord’s Supper” as opposed to actually having such a memorable meal only for you to go away hungry to be fed someplace else;
  • Your church is a recognized denomination of some form rather than a community/city-wide celebration;
  • Your church is organized to be a spiritual temple of worship more so than your home among your family;
  • Your church believes you should live pain free, persecution free, and with wealth and prosperity, despite the life of Christ existing to contrary;
  • Your church teaches of tithes and offerings; and
  • Your church offerings are tax-deductible.

Now, if you’ve said “yes” or agree with any of the foregoing as to your current church life, let’s have a look at how the United State Corporation via the Internal Revenue Service has licensed your church to practice Pagan Christianity.

These attributes of a church have been developed by the IRS and by court decisions. They include:

  • Distinct legal existence
  • Recognized creed and form of worship
  • Definite and distinct ecclesiastical government
  • Formal code of doctrine and discipline
  • Distinct religious history
  • Membership not associated with any other church or denomination
  • Organization of ordained ministers
  • Ordained ministers selected after completing prescribed courses of study
  • Literature of its own
  • Established places of worship
  • Regular congregations
  • Regular religious services
  • Sunday schools for the religious instruction of the young
  • Schools for the preparation of its members

Do you notice any similarities? If your church has a “tax exemption” granted by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) then you must examine it to determine if it is worthy in the eyes of God. Review this and then, decide if you do need to make a change in the church you are carrying. I pray you have the eyes to see and the courage to do what is right.
